Hi All,
I'm using a console cable (tftp server is not an option).
Is it possible to clear the running config of a router (without appending a 'no' to every line of the current config) - so that when I enter the conf terminal the config I paste in, is the only config available?)
Thanks,
Andrew.

bmauro Member Posts: 307I think you mean startup config - thats the config that the router will pull from NVRAM on a reload or reboot.
To start from a fresh slate just do a:
erase startup-config
It will ask you to confirm the deletion and then issue a reload.
No more config
