CCNA & CCENT
From Juniper to Cisco
NI_MW
Hi Guys,
I've recently got my certs in JNCDA and JNCIA which I found easy enough using uDemy and a testing engine for practice questions.
I've now set a goal of achieving CCNA in the near future. Firstly taking CCENT/ICND1, is there much of a transition in difficulty between JNCIA and entry level Cisco?
Planning on buying the Cert guide and using GNS3/packet tracer etc.
Thanks,
M

It's been a while, but I found the entry level Cisco exams to be much more involved and difficult than the Juniper ones. Usually I'd suggest people take the opposite approach. Start with the CCNA then the JNCIA is a walk in the park.

I would say go with what your job most requires and get a firm grasp on one before moving to the other. I’ve worked with Cisco gear for about five years now and a few months ago got the JNCIA and it was like learning a foreign language. I think starting out though, Cisco would be way easier to learn.
