MCSA Windows 2012?

About a year ago I went through A New Horizons Network Admin program. It was fast paced and covered about 3 Chapters a day for prep for the Sec+, CCNA R&S, MCSA server 2012. The MCSA portion was last and I was basically going through the motions since I was preparing to take the SEC+, and still brushing up on the CCNA portion. I still have the vouchers but with Microsoft changing everything so much should I take them or concentrate on a more up to date MCSA.

I believe once you obtain MCSA 2012 you can upgrade to 2016 with one additional exam. So, it may be worth pursuing.

The version of the exam is not that big of a deal. The real questions are:

1 - Is the voucher only good for this exam?
2 - Can you pass the exam with little effort?

Personally if you need to go back and study it all again I would go for the newer exam but if you already know the 2012 material then go for the exam. In terms of hiring you can at least document that you are familiar with general MCSA material.
