why are fortinet exams expensive? e.g (NSE 4 $400)

Currently busy preparing for my NSE 4 exams, but i don't understand why fortinet exams are so pricey?

They have to cover the exam dev on fewer people.. Also those exam are heavily targeted to Fortinet Partner, and they don't have choice to have certified people.

I realize this thread is on its way to the grave BUT I was curious about the OPs experience with the exam. Was it difficult? Were the self paced training materials enough to pass? I'm currently working my way through the NSE 4 also and would like some insight if anyone can offer a bit.
