Not sure! Prob try to find an entry level info security job to get some experience and then go for the cysa+!  Any recommendations on positions I should search for?

It might be tough to find a non-junior role with just a Sec+ depending on your prior IT experience, but they're out there. IT/Network Security Specialist/Administrator/Technician are pretty good choices. SOC technician is also a decent entry-level job. I'd steer clear of Analyst/Engineer titles unless you're not hitting on the others. These tend to be a bit harder to land, so I wouldn't recommend going for those right off the bat. Another option is to jump into a helpdesk/jr sysadmin role to hone your skills before jumping into security. That might give your resume a bit more pull.

    Congrats again, and good luck!

What other certifications do you have?
How many years of experience in IT do you have and what is that experience?
Do you have a degree and what was its focus?

thanks!! I worked in a help desk role right out of college then I worked in corporate IT in a data management/data compliance role for 3 years which probably doesnt really help me with much for where I'm going.  Thanks for the input!

I have a bit under a year for general help desk IT.  I worked in data management/compliance for about 3 years but that was pretty specialized with a reference data web app we used in house.  I have a BS in business analytics and information technology.  Kind of wanted to stray away from the data work I've been doing even though it is in demand.  Wanted to transition more toward info sec/it security for a bit now
