Info on the Practical exams and the ECSA/LPT?

I've got a friend considering going down this path, i'm not having much luck finding useful data here on the current versions of the CEH Master, ECSA, or LPT.

Any useful information on the quality of the exam/labs and the difficulty level of them, as well as the process between the ECSA-LPT labs.

Also what kind of material is on the ECSA right now? I really wish they would rename it if it's a hacking cert.
