    Why would anyone flag this? its a legitimate tech concern and national issue regarding terrible business practices that cost lives.

    Typical bean-counter mentality produces these results. Rarely do corporations perform "REAL" cost benefit analysis on the effects of cost cutting. They normally only consider the savings that are supposed to increase their profit margin. Greed GREED GREED. Large scale disasters and the threat of regulatory fines are the only things that open their clouded greed filled eyes.

    Maybe they only saw that the OP posted a thread with only 3 links and no commentary on the matter. As for topic itself, it's your typical corporate greed that kaiju has mentioned that corporations are really aiming for. They'll keep quiet until the crap hits the fan.
