Hi! I am trying to run igrp on my router however, I don't see it. Listed below are all the routing protocols supported from my router. Is this normal? Did they remove IGRP?

R1-2501(config)#router ?
bgp Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
eigrp Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP)
isis ISO IS-IS
iso-igrp IGRP for OSI networks
mobile Mobile routes
odr On Demand stub Routes
ospf Open Shortest Path First (OSPF)
rip Routing Information Protocol (RIP)

I had the same ios and igrp was not a option as well as encapsulation command for a sub-interface. i then changed my ios to Version 12.2(7a),
flash:c3640-is-mz.122-7a, and now both of those options are available.

Thanks, I'll downgrade, I am however interested why IGRP was removed.

cisco has had alot of "bad" images in the past year come out and had to be avoided... alot of 12.3 versions but to why that was removed my guess with the fact that its classful and has long lived past its usefulness with subnetting being the defacto for networking

but i may be wrong and its a bad image
