Tickets are sold out! Maybe some people are re-selling them on eBay.

I would hope not. Tickets cost only $5, which is a steal. This is the first Houston BSides in a few years, so I'm guessing that when they announced it, a lot of people in the area jumped on it the minute they opened up ticket sales. I missed the pre-sale because that sold out almost immediately. Looking forward to this one.

By the way, if anybody else in the Austin area is going, let me know if you want to carpool. I can take one person. I can take two if the second person is really short and doesn't mind being cramped in the back seat of a Mustang for a few hours each way. All I ask is that you share in the gas costs and don't smoke in the car.
