In the US whats the average wage for a qualified Network Engineer?
Would it be around $US 50,000. That is the equivilent to $AUS 70,000
Just want to compare the salary rates.

Depends on location. Salaries in California would be 4x salaries in Kansas.

Yeah that is most certainly true. Your location definitely will impact your salary so it is hard to compare the two outright.
I guess the best chance would be having someone who has worked the same job title in the US and in AUS, but that might be hard because of the experience factor. -
