ISC2
ISC2 Training material
PeterHands
I completed my CISSP training last April, have taken a break and now focusing on CCSP. Im mainly relying on Sybex again and the CCSK PDF.
I was also looking at CAP and IISMP but I have to say the official material is years old and the reviews online are disappointing to say the least.
Why aren't ISC2 releasing upto date materials? It seems we need to refer to NIST an awful lot, which is fine, but there is a danger of spending an awful amount of time reviewing subjects we don't need too etc.
Any thoughts?

Yes, they don't often update their study materials as fast as the exams change. I think its because of the red-tape in getting an official guide out has to be edited, peer reviewed, etc which causes delays. I find their material very dry anyway. I used very little ISC2 materials for my CISSP, and instead relied upon Cybrary, NIST, and FedVTE.

I know it may be older but the existing material will work. It's a matter of time before the updates are closer to be in sync... I hope.
