Alternative to the A+

I don't know if anyone has seen, but Comptia are opposed to the right to repair bills that are trying to be passed in the USA. This has got me a bit annoyed, so I'm looking for alternatives to put in job ads for candidates.
There are alternatives for all of their certs as far as I can see eg CEH, SANS 401 for Security+. There isn't one for the A+. We usually ask for A+ or a desktop MCP for our desktop people, though more of a preferred than a definitive as we all understand its limitations, and experience trumps.
I'd like to add an alternative to that teams job ads, and I can't find one.
