I've seen the previous edition mentioned quite a few times here, and the one you posted is from May 17th this year, so is probably the most up to date CCNA guide currently available and should be a good buy. If you are looking for a second book, or an alternative, I suggest Todd Lammle's CCNA guide from Sybex.

I have never liked any of the Cisco press books. I suffered through using them during my Cisaco Academy days. I don't think they are very well organized, nor does the reading flow well. Might just be me, but I certainly don't like them. Not for a lack of good information mind you, I just can't concentrate due to the way they are written.

I agree with webmaster on the Todd Lamle book - excellent.

I used the first edition of these books as my only book source for my CCNA and thought they were absolutely fantastic. Everything was explained clearly and nothing important was left out.
