Old forum layout?

When I first signed up here ~2 years ago, on signing in the old, original Tech Exams forums layout showed as the default, but now it shows the new one. Is there any way to bring this back?
I used to lurk on the old style forum and prefer the look and feel of it. I'm not a huge fan of the new one and find it hard to navigate.

JDMurray Admin Posts: 13,099 AdminTechExams is now implemented on the Vanilla Forums platform and you are looking at the default style. The legacy, battleship gray TE was based on the vBulletin v4 platform and is no longer a supported style for TE.

That's rubbish
Can you change the themes like you can on similar platforms?

Vanilla Forums do offer a multitude of themes to choose from, but based on the settings available to us, I don't think we can switch to a different theme over here. -

It's also been available on Wine since at least 2016, according to Google, so it's not a great example I have to say, but I understand where you're coming from.
It would be nice to at least have the ability to change text and background colour without having to use Greasemonkey. "Dark mode", a concept which has now strangely started to become popularly promoted in mainstream apps recently, would be nice also.

blargoe Member Posts: 4,174 ■■■■■■■■■□Not the OP, but I think a dark mode would be nice. As a legacy TE member, I do like the new theme.IT guy since 12/00
Recent: 11/2019 - RHCSA (RHEL 7); 2/2019 - Updated VCP to 6.5 (just a few days before VMware discontinued the re-cert policy...)
Working on: RHCE/Ansible
Future: Probably continued Red Hat Immersion, Possibly VCAP Design, or maybe a completely different path. Depends on job demands... -

Those BB-style forums generally had the option of customisation IIRC from the many forums I've been in over the years. I find it very bizarre that we don't have that option now!
