Using Company Names in a book

I am writing a book about security certifications the routes to take and details on the best ones to take for different job roles.

Does anyone know if you need permission from the certification companies such as ISC2, ISACA etc. to mention there names and discuss there certifications?

The proper way to do it by sending them emails asking for their permission.
