firewall configuration

Point of sale configures firewall automatically for you when a firewall blocks the connection between client and server, here manual configuration is necessary. So if security programs block QuickBooks desktop point of sale ports which processes get interrupted?

Sounds more like a QB operations troubleshooting question where the solution is to enable/configure UPnP. What do the other students working on the same study problem think?
