itdept Registered Users Posts: 275 ■■■■■■□□□□There is no VMware VCP-DCV 2019 2V0-21.19 exam. If you are starting fresh with VMware you will need to VCP-DCV 2021
The information is here - https://www.vmware.com/education-services/certification.html
If you don't have a "current" VCP level cert you are going to have to do a paid for course.
My recommendation is to build a lab and start learning. Pick up a yearly vmug subscription to get the software you will need. It is a bit hard to provide advice unless I know your background / skills / direction -
shanparames Member Posts: 103 ■■■□□□□□□□Thank you for the reply , I can see that the 6.7 certification can be done up to June 2021 .Currently I am working in VMware 6.7 environment only , my question is advice/tips needed for preparation of the exam. Thanks

I used this as one component of my study and I was able to pass after failing the first time around. As itdept mentioned, VCP-DCV requires classroom time in order to validate the certification. If you do not have any official VMware courses under your belt, you might want to look at the VCP-NV path especially if you have a current CCNA certification.

You need to complete 6.7 or 7.0 training, and pass the Foundations exam as well as the Professional exam (the one you asked about) - once those 3 elements are ticked off you’ll get your VCP-DCV 2021.VCP2 / VCP3 / VCP4 / VCP5 / VCAP4-DCA / VCI / vExpert 2010-2012
