Software engineering to CS?

I was wondering is it possible to get a degree in software engineering and get an advanced degree in computer science such as a masters or phd?

yep sure is. There is so much overlap between the disciplines. You may be asked to do a bridging course or two depending on the department you're going to, but overall it should be ok
