Are these IP addresses possible?

Just for curiosity, are this IP addresses and IP ranges possible?

1)
1.0.0.0/8 I guess this probably exists as a class A internet address range?

2)
0.0.0.0/24 or 0.0.0.0/8 ....to be used in a private network

Any answers much welcome

You could use The Who is service to see who owns the 1.0.0.0/8. Can’t use what you don’t own.

0.0.0.0 are used for specific things…in IPv4 and IPv6. This might not work (without testing it myself)…and you’d probably need NAT.

You can use any IP address on a private network host except for 0.0.0.0 itself.

OP seems to have started an interest in networking, The safe bet is always RFC 1918.

The short answer is yes, they can be used in a private network, but if the private network was ever connected to the internet, it makes it a headache to manage.

Is 142.251.40.142 the server you set up for monitoring the cookie baking ovens, or is it www.google.com? Your always better off using private addresses for your internal network, it makes things it a lot easier later down the road.
