I am a student studying networking and I am trying to understand what situations would dictate the use of a VLAN. Is there some of you that have a real world example of using a VLAN? (or multiples?)

Routing traffic to a specific location, like having printers on a specific VLAN send traffic over to the print servers. For device management purposes.Degree: WGU B.S.
