CompTIA Author, Darril Gibson, Passed Away
It is with sad news to report that CompTIA Author, Darril Gibson, passed away on September 8, 2022, at the age of 64. Darril was instrumental in helping me pass many of my CompTIA certifications.

This is very sad news. I very briefly collaborated with Darril back in 2016 on some updates for his SSCP book that resulted from a course I was teaching. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and gracious.

Sad news. He was instrumental in my passing of the Security+ back in the day. I even wrote him to tell him thank you and to keep up the great work (he replied). Just a very friendly and helpful person.
