Never heard of it. Who uses it and for what? And aren't all tools Web-based these days?
I'm trying to wrap my head around
Google's Chronicle
(SIEM/SOAR) right now.

I've never used Chronicle. But seriously though I thought Googles SOAR platform was
Siemplify
. They acquired it back in January 2022. When did they announce
Chronicle
as a SOAR tool?
JDMurray
Siemplify is some tech acquired by Google that was folded into their Chronicle SOAR. When you subscribe only to the Chronicle SIEM features you may indeed be using
Siemplify
, but Google still refers to it as
Chronicle
.
