From the announcement:
Whereas CompTIA Data+ is for data analysts and focuses on analytics and interpretation, CompTIA DataSys+ is targeted to database administrators (DBAs) and focuses on the logistics of data management and administration.
DBAs ensure that the data is clean, useful, maintained, properly stored, secured, accessible, etc. They are responsible for the integrity of the data. CompTIA DataSys+ confirms that candidates have the skills to do so. Because data analysts interpret the data and give it meaning, CompTIA Data+ focuses on the analytical aspects of data management.
TechExams folks - is this of interest? Do you see value in CompTIA offering this cert?

While I do think the DataSys+ is a good addition to the CompTIA lineup, I'm not sure how these A+ certificates (different than certifications, from what I can tell) fit into a career/certification roadmap. At first blush, seems like they're muddying the water more than anything.A+, Net+, Sec+, CySA+, CCNA, ITIL 2011 Foundation, AWS CCP, ISC2 CC, MS SC-900, MS AZ-900

JDMurray Admin Posts: 13,089 AdminI signed up for the DataSys+ preview presentation this week. I don't see myself taking even the beta exam, but I still need to talk about it intelligently.UPDATE: Here is the DataSys+ FAQ. It looks like a general DBA cert and nothing to do specifically with AI/ML/LLM as I had assumed.
