Hmm. Thinking about 70-270

I'm thinking it might be wise to write 70-270.

In fact, it would have been more wise to write this exam during the 2nd shot offer. Having already written 3 MS exams in the month of June, I couldn't squeeze any more in.

I haven't actually written a client exam since Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0 Workstation in 1997. If MS were to obsolete both of those exams (like they did for 70-077), my entire MS certification structure would collapse.

Anyone have an opinion on how difficult 70-270 is with 4 years practical hands on use? I'd rather not read a large book to knock this one out. About the only area I think I'd need to brush up on is rapid deployment using sysprep, RIPREP, RIS, etc.

Scale of 1 - 10, 10 being most difficult, how would you rate this exam?

Hmm...I didnt know it was possible to have MCSE & MCSA on 2000/2003 and not have 70-270.

Not to suck up or anything, but with all that creditials, your experience with Windows XP, experience with MS exams, plus the HUGE incentive to get this exam for keeping your certificates, it shouldnt be a problem for you.

I just wrote 70-271 and 272, which together probably make up 70-80% of the stuff in 270.

271/272 together was probably a 7
I would think 270 is probably a 7.5

again, I wouldnt sweat it if I were you, it should be an easy run for you.

Either 210 for win2000 or 270 for winxp will do it. They are going to nail you on the important stuff in 290 and 291 for the server anyway. I guess they decided either desktop would do since the difference in versions is only a 0.1 i.e 5.0 vs 5.1. There was talk for a while in the early days that XP was going to be 2kSE. Delays changed all that.

He didnt write 70-210 either...I guess he wrote one of the accelerated exams for MCPs.
