CCISO Exam

Has anyone taken the CCISO exam lately? I am reviewing their online video content and material, plus the all in one exam guide.

I passed the exam on Monday. It wasn't too taxing but you do need to ensure you have covered and understood all the objectives outlined in the course material. I used their supplied material and the 'All in One CCISO' guide.

Make sure to practice the test questions in the all in one to guide to ensure you understand the concepts. Exam was a mix of knowledge and scenario based and surprisingly, the percentage passing score is defined by which paper they give you. It could be 70%, going upwards to 80%. But as long as you understand the content and can apply then you should be good.

Out of interest, how would you rate it compared to the CISSP?

CISSP is definitely the defacto and trumps CCISO.

But what CCISO gives you is how to strategise, create a program charter and finance areas. These are things you don't get in CISSP, so they are quite different there, but Domain 4 and Risk Management part of Domain 1 maps directly across to CISSP.

Having now got both I do advocate doing both, but if you only wished to do one, then CISSP is your target.

So those definitely don't help. Sure they may give you examples of 'past' questions, but definitely not the current set. And i'm sure EC Council ensure the question bank is different. And those edumps questions are from years past anyways. Honestly, don't waste your money.

His questions are definitely about understanding the concepts and helped big time. Nothing like the exam questions but defo ensure your in a good place to answer the exam questions.
