CCZT Pass 8/7/2025

I took and passed the CCZT Exam today. The exam is a 60-question multiple choice exam. The test taker is given 120 minutes to take the exam. The exam is administered from the comfort of your home without the need of a proctor or camera. It’s also open book.
I used the following to prepare: Udemy Zero Trust Security Fundamentals for IT Professionals by Alton Teaches LLC
Udemy Certificate of Competence in Zero Trust (CCZT) - Exam Tests by Master Prep
Udemy Certificate of Competence in Zero Trust (CCZT) Training by Dr. Lyron Andrews
I downloaded the certification preparation kit with a gaggle of PDFs. My plan was to read the five study guides over the next few days but I got impatient and wanted to take the exam out of curiosity. You have the benefit of two attempts for your $175.
I ended up passing with the absolute minimum passing score of 80%.
I’ll admit I believe I could’ve scored higher if I had um read those PDFs lol. But I felt I had a solid grasp of the concepts, having reading a few NIST, CISA and Microsoft docs during my current term in WGU.
I’d recommend not doing what I did and just opting for the kit to prepare since it’s free and all of the information is there. I also think the material is beneficial for cybersecurity or other IT roles, especially if your organization is considering move to ZTA.
