Hi everyone,
I’m currently studying NAT for the CCNA and I’m having trouble understanding the real difference between static NAT and dynamic NAT. I’ve read a couple of resources:
But I still don’t fully get it. Static NAT maps one private IP to one public IP, and dynamic NAT uses a pool… but in practice, when would you use one over the other? And how does dynamic NAT decide which IP to assign?
If anyone has a simple way to explain it or a real-world example, I’d really appreciate it.
