VR crazy question

Anyone on the board have any experience with virtual reality gear? Like more then just a "headset" that people on ebay are trying to pass off that you can connect to a tv.

I mean like in the moveis where(example hackers) where the guy is playing some gun game in his little round tub, and has a gun and things.

Getting interested in it!
