Well ive decided to start my path down the cisco road and have decided to build a lab. The first router that ive gotten in is a 2505. I chose this model because of something that i read on several websites.
"Cisco 2505/2507 with 16 MB Flash/16MB DRAM. The same as a Cisco 2501 except it has a built-in 8 or 16 port hub so you do not have to purchase a transceiver"
Will i be able to access and configure it via ethernet or do i still need an additional cable?

Webmaster Admin Posts: 10,292 AdminIf it's configured with an IP you could connect through telnet and configure it, but you will need a console cable for proper configuration and to be able to configure the router if an IP connection is not available.
please read the previous topic and links in for info on to how to set up your equipment.

Webmaster Admin Posts: 10,292 AdminYou're welcome. On one of the last posts on the first page of the My Router Lab topic is some more info about the 2507 which also has an intergrated ethernet hub.
