hi techexams.net. :)

it's been a long time when i last login, well i miss this forum. im currently working for CCNP. i am sysad right now but i want to shift to the network world. it's my chance because our network engineer recently resigned and i'm the one whose assigned handling the network. my boss told me to play some of our boxes here and this is really cool, corporate boxes :)icon_lol.gif .

he gave me a project and im thinking the possible solution. i need you here guys.

we have 2 corp routers connected 4 ISP's, each routers have 2 links outside and they are using BGP. what he wants me to do is to dedicate only the 1 link to a single client, he gave me the specific ip's from japan to connect to our servers here. the traffic (in and out) should traverse only to that link, and no other traffic should pass exept this client.

im thinking to use access-list to the two routers and assigned that to the four interface. what do you think? i worry because this is really a complicated part, when i mistyped or did it wrong, wow this is great. this is my last days. icon_sad.gif

any help please. is there other strategy? is there a features in bgp to assign ip or blocks of ip's to traverse only to a dedicated link and discard others?

thanks. :)
Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.
