If I summarize, with debug ip igrp events you have only a "summary" of the sent & received updates and.
And with debug ip igrp transactions, you have a detailed view of the updates. This is not really adapted for big networks with a lot of routes.
Is it correct ? -
BubbaJ Member Posts: 323You could log all the debug messages, but, in general, debug is very intensive. It should be used with care on any production environment.

marlon23 Member Posts: 164 ■■□□□□□□□□with transactions you'll get info about from where the update is coming (IP, interface) and what it contains (subnets, metrics) and flipped for sended updates.
with events you'll get info as transactions provide but without showing you the contained subnets & metrics in updates, it'll just tell you how many interior, system, exterior routes was there in update.
you can see examples of this commands output in CiscoPress ICND exam certification guide
hope it helpsLAB: 7609-S, 7606-S, 10008, 2x 7301, 7204, 7201 + bunch of ISRs & CAT switches
