I have my A+, Net+, and 70-270 (which i passed yesterday!) I am taking my 290 next. what else will i need to be considered mcsa, and then what will i need to be mcse??? I just started for all my certs in april and plan to get my msca before i go job searching.

You will need:
1) 70-290 and 70-291 for MCSA
2) above + 70-293, 70-794, and most people recommend 70-298 for MCSE
I went 270, 290, 291, Security+, 293, 294, 298, 299 and have MCSE: Security.

MCSA 2003 is 70-270(or 210) + 290 + 291 + elective. The elective can be a Microsoft exam for Exchange or SQL server for example, but your A+ and Network+ combined are also valid as the elective. So in your case, after 290, you only need 291 for MCSA.

For MCSE you will need to add 293 and 294, and 297(or 29
, and an elective (e.g. Security+ or a Microsoft exam such as Exchange or SQL server).
