Sub Nets ?

Was watching the TestOut Video Series for 70-270 and they breifly touched on subnets.
Then on the chapters practice test they wanted you to convert the octets to binary and back to determine the available IP addresses in a given subnet mask.
Looking at the books I got Exam Cram and MS Press - they dont ask you to convert them...just really wondering if this is this something for the real exam, or does the exam just check to see if you understand the concept of subnets ?

Danman32 Member Posts: 1,243For any of the MS exams, you don't have to go crazy on subnets like you do in CCNA. Unlike CCNA, I had use of the basic calculator, but didn't need it, nor did I need paper/erase board.
