You will need to have hands-on, practical experience with configuring, troubleshooting, and using 802.11 client devices (e.g., wireless laptops) and access points. The more familiarity you have with different access point firmware distributions the better. Having experience with wireless network design and even amateur radio is a plus. I also recommend that you have at least a Network+ certification before attempting the CWNA.
