How many exams is the CCNA?

One or two.

One or two, depending on your option.

You can take the Intro (640-821) and ICND (640-811) tests separately or you can take the combo exam (640-801)

Do they CCNA certs expire or are they for life? Someone told me you take it every 3 years but I havent found anything to suggets this.

Man , it's very simple :

Or you take a single exam : CCNA 640-801 which is aproximately 210 $ .
Or you take two examn's : CCNA intro + CCNA icdn ( if you take both you become CCNA ).

The CCNA is valable for 3 year's.You cna renew it byt taking CCNA once again or other Cisco cert.

You may wish to take CCNA 640-801 , for me was the best choice.
