Hello everyone,

Anyone here know of any installable linux security distributions? Auditor is good, I just need something that I can install to my HDD, not just put in a live cd whenever I need it....any advice?

You can actually install all Linux/Unix/BSD distro's onto your hard drive, even if they come in the form of LiveCD's/LiveDVD's. Be aware though, most of the LiveCD's/LiveDVD's don't install very well because of the fact that's not what they were designed for...

I know for a fact PHLAK and Knoppix and Ubuntu can be installed... I'd have to check out the rest to know for sure.

Customize your own kernal/build and include whatever security packages/modules you want. Not a job for the faint of heart though.

No, indeed not for the "faint of heart" nor for the amature. But, I did come across this recently, and I found it very interesting; http://www.rocklinux.org/wiki/Main_Page
