The sticky posted at the top of the ccna forum shows a nice little back to back connection you can try

As for the switch havent played with to many yet but you add it to one end the setup and practice telnetting and pinging between the devices.

Yes, there are s couple good labs here. I was looking for some more. They could even be homemade.

I have 2500 series routers and 2900 series switch running enterprise IOS.
