cheeblie Member Posts: 288There really is no first part, as you can take either of them first. So you can fail either one first and still take the second. It seems like a lot of people have taken each test at least a week apart. I took both on the same day and had no problem with it. You must consider, however, that if you do fail the first test it may be mentally damaging and affect your performance on the second test. It's really determined by how hard you study and how well you know the stuff. If you know all of your stuff, then by all means take both tests on the same day. If you're struggling then you may want to study for one test exclusively, and then study for the next test for a week or so until you're ready.

bellboy Member Posts: 1,017i took mine on different days. i was concerned, partly, that a failure would sour my attempt at the second exam, but basically, i wanted to get the core exam out of the way, to enable me to study solely on the operating systems exam.
looking back, i would have passed both exams easily. if you are scoring highly in practise exams, it is likely that you will too.A+ Moderator -
nigel Member Posts: 15 ■□□□□□□□□□thankyou for you help, i think i am ready for the hardcore part of the exam, do i have a better chance with the second part of the exam as i have been fixing my friends windows problems over the past 5 years with good results, what do you think. i think i should do a lot of studying on the second part anyway.
the only problems i can see i have is knowing the irq's locations and the i\o's addresses, i think i better study them more.
i have been using the patrice exams on pastitknow.com and with the cd which came with my book.
do you know of any good test sites to go to, how do i know if i am on a brain **** site as i have been told to keep away from those sites.
