My 3rd reference is out of town on vacation and I don't know anybody who I can really trust as a reference. What should I tell the employer? If my present two references give them really good words (which I know they will), do you think the employer will not worry too much about the third one?

I find it extremely hard to deal with the whole reference issue as it makes me put others in inconvenience of getting calls and writing emails while they are 'professionals' and very busy people icon_sad.gif

Tell them he is on vacation and call him next week?
    IT guy since 12/00

Recent: 11/2019 - RHCSA (RHEL 7); 2/2019 - Updated VCP to 6.5 (just a few days before VMware discontinued the re-cert policy...)
    Working on: RHCE/Ansible
Future: Probably continued Red Hat Immersion, Possibly VCAP Design, or maybe a completely different path. Depends on job demands...

Resumes ask for "Professional" refrences to keep people from filling out their cousins, friends, family and pet dogs. icon_lol.gif There is not much more to it than that.
