Well... I am 25 and finally decided I want to go to college. Better late than never I guess. Anyway, I met with a councilor and one of the questions I had was in regards to real world experience and computer certifications. I know some colleges are good about crediting students who already have some certifications ect...
The councilor told me that the college does not do that and asked me which colleges do... Of course I didn’t have any list or anything prepared and today decided to check out CompTIA website... Unfortunately the page does not exist anymore.... I'll keep looking through the website but if someone finds it before me could you please let me know.

Best two items I could come up with was:
http://certification.about.com/od/certifications/a/certfordegree.htm
http://certification.comptia.org/get_news.aspx?prid=961
Googling Comtia College Credit may get you links to specific colleges that offer such credits. -

I think that should do for the moment
In the mean time I will try to email CompTIA about the old link -

For example, the networking professor at my school gives an "A" if you take your certification during the course of the semester you're taking the class. In some cases, he'll just give you the same "A" if you've already got the cert, going in. So, if you have A+, then you basically get the free six units for the A+ classes. You may want to talk to the individual teachers and the department heads of the school you're looking to go to, to find out if they do anything like this.

Let it never be said that I didn't do the very least I could do.
