Passed 70-272 this morning new MCDST onboard
Hi again,
Sat 70-272 this morning and passed with 918 absolutely stoked as I thought I didn't do to well. Once I hit the end exam button I proved my gut instinct was totally off when 918 came up lol...... I was more confident when hitting end exam with 271 and I only got 866 on that )
Anyways now that I've obtained MCDST time to focus on getting my MCSA + S!!!!!!

Slowhand Mod Posts: 5,161 ModCongratulations! I'm sure you'll do well on the MCSA/MCSE exams, if you did that well on the MCDST tests. It's not that it'll be any "easier", but if you study as hard as you must've done on these, you'll do just fine.

APA Member Posts: 959I used Exam Cram 2 and Self Test practice exams......... normally use transcenders but I only decided to obtain the MCDST two months ago while currently studying for my MCSA and thought I'd give self test a go for it. Didn't turn out too shabby either

I hear good things about exam cram, I'll probably get one for my next microsoft exam. Good luck on your path to MCSA...
ps. the short-hand for Microsoft Certified System Administrator: Security should be MCSA: Security or I guess MCSA:S, MCSA-S
Microsoft doesnt use the + symbol anymore...

APA Member Posts: 959Exam cram books are good if you work with the software/equipment and need to brush up or learn some extra features......... IMHO....... and as I work with XP and Server 03 day in day out I just decided to use exam cram books
thanks for the tip on the naming of MCSA:Security
Got a hold of MS Press books for MCSA:S so we shall see how they go........pending on that Exam Cram may get some time off the bench for MCSA:S
