i just barely passed too cause of this stupid book "a+ certification study guide third edition" this book had zero info about dma addys and i had not studied them...only irq and i/o so when the test found out i didnt know dma's it slammed me w/ 4 dma ?'s in a row and 2 more at the end and 1 more stupid question that said how do you make a hdd go on a particular part of the cable? that was ok except the choices were set jumper to master? set jumper to slave? (not exact question or answer wording) but that is a trick question wouldnt u say? being as only one answer was the correct one....oh well i passed and i want to give this site a BIG thanx cuz eventhough i didnt post alot i came here everyday to practise test and read the forums.

Congratz. Have you passed the OS exam as well, or is that still to come?

There is no real model to follow on the cert path, but Net+ will definately establish networking skills that will come in handy in anything else you do, such as MCSE or cisco. Net+ is next on my "to-do list".

    Congratulations jony265!

We live in a networking world. Network+, at least information wise, gives you a good knowledge base for it.

If you're following COMPtia path, it seems that Net+ is next. You probably already know about 60% of material from A+ studies.

Best of luck on future exams!

Congrats on the pass. Your next step should be Updating your profile. Show off that A+ Cert over there <
    .

I feel your pain. I am 31 trying to make that change too. Just got my A+ today passing the O.S. And I got ambushed too....lol.
