point-to-point? broadcast?

I'm doing frame-relay lab. Have 2 subinterfaces set as point-to-point. but "sh frame-realy pvc" displays something i don't understand. here it is.

c2620#sh frame-relay pvc

PVC Statistics for interface Serial0/0 (Frame Relay DTE)

Active Inactive Deleted Static
Local 2 0 0 0
Switched 0 0 0 0
Unused 0 0 0 0

DLCI = 150, DLCI USAGE = LOCAL, PVC STATUS = ACTIVE, INTERFACE = Serial0/0.1

input pkts 273 output pkts 284 in bytes 29913
out bytes 29493 dropped pkts 0 in FECN pkts 0
in BECN pkts 0 out FECN pkts 0 out BECN pkts 0
in DE pkts 0 out DE pkts 0
out bcast pkts 284 out bcast bytes 29493
pvc create time 00:40:34, last time pvc status changed 00:39:54

DLCI = 152, DLCI USAGE = LOCAL, PVC STATUS = ACTIVE, INTERFACE = Serial0/0.3

input pkts 479 output pkts 449 in bytes 42062
out bytes 42592 dropped pkts 0 in FECN pkts 0
in BECN pkts 0 out FECN pkts 0 out BECN pkts 0
in DE pkts 0 out DE pkts 0
out bcast pkts 298 out bcast bytes 30645
pvc create time 00:46:15, last time pvc status changed 00:45:36

The 2nd line from bottom tells me about the broadcast packets and bytes. what does it mean? I thought point-to-point shall not have broadcast.

  • PS: the display of the "switching" router(the one in the "cloud") seems normal. see

    bcast pkts and bytes are both 0, how come the other end shows different? by the way, the frame-relay network works totally. I just don't get this through.
