yupper, some memory module on RIMM also requires that they be the same size. But not necessarily the case with all RIMM memory modules.

To my knowledge, DIMMs never
have
to be installed in pairs, but dual-channel RAM
should
be installed in pairs to get the full benefit of the dual-channel architecture.
