yupper, some memory module on RIMM also requires that they be the same size. But not necessarily the case with all RIMM memory modules.Jack of all trades, master of none -

To my knowledge, DIMMs never have to be installed in pairs, but dual-channel RAM should be installed in pairs to get the full benefit of the dual-channel architecture.
