Hi, I am wondering if anyone has taken any of the apple certs? How hard were they?

I was thinking about doing some freelance tech support but noticed a few people with macs needing help localy but I have no experiance with iMacs.

Apple has a help desk/os x tech cert and was simply just wondering if is worth anything?

Having Apple skills is a niche that would be valuable in some cases, sure. I don't know anyone who has gotten their certs.

In my neck of the woods, there's so few mac repair shops that really all you would have to do is advertise that you can fix macs and you'd get some work. The company I used to work for would get a random call at least a couple time a month or so asking if we worked on Mac's.

Recent: 11/2019 - RHCSA (RHEL 7); 2/2019 - Updated VCP to 6.5 (just a few days before VMware discontinued the re-cert policy...)
    Working on: RHCE/Ansible
Future: Probably continued Red Hat Immersion, Possibly VCAP Design, or maybe a completely different path. Depends on job demands...

I recently met a guy who does IT contract work and the very first question he asked me if I had a (ACHDS) Apple Certified Help Desk Specialist certification? I was stuned! I was expecting to hear MCSE or MCSA as what he was looking for!
Since we are close to New York, I see lots of people with Apple Laptops on the trains and in Philly metro.
