Patel128 Member Posts: 339@odysseyelite Nice setup man. I totally agree on the terminal server. It might be considered lazy but for all of the time it takes to change the console cable i could be labbing or studying plus i don't really want to plug in and out the cable all the time to break the port.Studying For:

Yes yes, I know.
The other classroom that I was referring to also has 2811s and also some Catalyst 3560s. Why they're not in the main networking lab and still in that one classroom, I'm not quite sure.
Oh yeah, that picture is at ECPI College of Technology in Virginia Beach. -

2511 Access Server
Will take a pic when the wife gets back with the camera.
Would like to see some topology maps and the software used to create them as well. I know they change while playing, but it helps get the big picture view of the network. -
jwashington1981 Member Posts: 137Bear with me. I have a whole series of pictures that I'm about to post. It may take about 2 or 3 posts to post them all.

Geek1969 Member Posts: 100 ■■□□□□□□□□Moving my equipment into my new (mostly finished) office in the basement. I had sold most of my gear because I was able to bring half of this home from work when it was no longer in production.
1-3560
2-2950
1-2511 Access Server
2-2801
2-2821
4-2501
I should be adding another 3560 and a 3750 when summer is over and possibly an ASA 5510 and a 2106 WLANC this fall. Those fringe benefits are nice sometimes.WIP:

jwashington1981 Member Posts: 137Geek1969, that looks pretty awesome. Hopefully I'll be able to put together a nice home lab. So far all I have are two 2610XMs so I still have some more stuff I'll be needing to get.

What is the problem? No let me guess
1. someone stole your cables.
2. You need more rack space but you have a low ceiling
3. You have gained a few pounds and you can't slide by the rack to open the door and you have run out of food.
4. Your significant other/roommate/mom/dad/sibling says this thing has got to go
5. All of the aboveWho knows what evil lurks in the heart of technology?... The Shadow DO -

Things get a little messy when you're working. Show me a neat lab, I'll show you a neglected lab. -
Netwurk Member Posts: 1,155 ■■■■■□□□□□Most labs have wires everywhere. Velcro One-Wrap can help tidy things up. Or use cable ties (the ones without the locks unless you're sure the wiring is permanent).
