Hi everyone,

I am trying to learn to configure MPLS. My question is does 3600 and 4500 series routers support MPLS ?

Thanks,
Bhushan

I used my 3640s to practice for the MPLS exam, so yes.

The Cisco Feature Navigator says yes for the 4500..... but only goes up to a 12.2 version. The later IOS versions for the 36xx series has even more MPLS feature support.

Keenon's links were good! That's where I started when I started looking at the MPLS exam (and the CCIP).

The latest Dynagen/Dynamips supports the 36xx images -- so if you have the IOS image, that could be another option for practice with multiple "routers." (search the cisco forum for dynagen or dynamips)

Thanks a lot for your response mike. At this time i do not have the actual routers which i expect to get soon. But as you said it works with 3600 so i would try working with Boson software ( hope it supports)
