Hows that different from "show run"?

its not really, the write commands were used in older version 10 IOS, infact some of us that have been around a few years still you them,
I dont use copy run start, I alwasy do wr, which does the same thing.
Write mem = Copy run start
Write Termin = Show run
Write erase = Erase flash
you will also fine that a lot of pre ver 7 pixes still use this older command set.
With version 11. the copy and show command were introduced, and now with ios 12 and beyond the most corret way to show run is
more system:running-config
But I dont think theres been a big uptake on the whole thing, Im hoping someone as cisco doesnt think next IOS time for some new stupid commands
