The CWNA Exam (PW0-100) will have a MINOR UPGRADE occur on October 30, 2006.

Please read the exam changes at http://www.cwnp.com/exams/pw0100_objective_changes.html. Candidates will especially need to be know the updated terminology changes being used by the IEEE & Wi-Fi Alliance. Read the new terminology you will need to know at http://www.cwnp.com/exams/exam_terms.html.

The CWNA exam is being updated to reflect the industry standard naming conventions that are now being used by the IEEE & Wi-Fi Alliance.
The CWNA exam objectives have been updated to reflect these changes
The CWNA practice tests have been updated to reflect these changes
The CWNA study guide is NOT changing. The current version will STILL prepare you for the updated exam, but you must be familiar with the new terminology
The CWNA course has already been updated to reflect these changes

Thank you,

Kevin Sandlin

There are just a few more terms that you need to know in order to have effective knowledge of 802.11 networking. It doesn't make much sense to be called "certified" if you don't know the latest standards and terminology. Let us know when you pass the CWNA on your first try. :D

I was just about to post and ask if the exam was changing soon...

Failed it once, quite a while back. I plan on resuming study again. Reading through the book, I'm surprised at how easy everything is coming back to me. Considering I literally missed the exam by 1 or 2 questions, and the exam itself kept booting me out, I should be able to pass fairly easily.

    Thanks for the info, anyway!

Having passed the CWNA and several Cisco exams, I'd say the CWNA is slightly easier than the typical Cisco exam. When comparing them to Cisco, Microsoft and CompTIA exams, they are closest to Cisco exams (but without the sims). Not the long essay questions like Microsoft, and not the over-simplified one-liners from CompTIA.

I've never taken a Cisco exam, but this sounds like a very accurate assessment.
