When in Event Viewer?

I dont seem to be able to connect to the microsoft site when investigating an error in event viewer? Any ideas?

Try adding http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp to your trusted sites if you are using W2K3. You may have to uncheck the "Require server verification..." as well since it is not a secure site.

I just go directly to support.microsoft.com, or better yet, www.eventid.net. The latter has limitations if you don't subscribe, but you can get enough ideas to work through the problem.
